Where to eat
: Try restaurant “Vatra”, on Str Ion Brezoianu nr 19, at few minutes from the apartment if you really want to taste home cooked Romanian cuisine. Is not a pretentious place, prices are decent and the décor is traditional. Highly recommended traditional “sarmale cu mamaliguta” and desert “papanasi”.
Where to drink
: If you want a really good beer and not the supermarket type, try “Fabrica cu bere” on Calea Victoriei 91, few steps from the apartment. It offers a large selection of artisanal brews - both traditional and modern blends, truly a beer lover delight, with mostly local products.
